Item An Analysis Of Print And Online Newspapers On Insecurity Reportage: A Study Of Four Selected Nigerian Newspapers(2025) MUSA UMAR MUHAMMADInsecurity is a significant global issue, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, where countries like Nigeria face numerous security challenges, including banditry, Boko Haram insurgencies, kidnappings, farmer-herder crises, and militancy. Despite federal government efforts, the situation remains precarious, and stakeholders like the mass media need to support the government's efforts in addressing these security issues. This study examines the insecurity content of print and online newspapers in Nigeria and the efforts of newspaper practitioners to combat insecurity in the country. It aims to explore the differences and similarities in how these newspapers report on insecurity and readers‟ satisfaction with print and online insecurity content. The study employs a mixed method approach in which content analysis and semistructured interviews were used to collect the study data.Item AN ANALYSIS OF PRINT AND ONLINE NEWSPAPERS ON INSECURITY REPORTAGE: A STUDY OF FOUR SELECTED NIGERIAN NEWSPAPERS(UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU, 2025) MUSA UMAR MUHAMMAD, P 92 .N5 M84 2025Item BRIDGING THE ADAPTATION CONCEPT IN TEACHING BASIC ENGLISH TO MALAYSIAN MINORITY INDIGENOUS (ORANG ASLI) STUDENTS(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2025) NURAH BINTI ABDUL RAZABItem KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS OF THE DAcI IN THE ENVIRONMENT AND HOUSEHOLD WASTE MANAGEMENT CAMPAIGN IN MAKASSAR CITY, SOUTH SULAWESI(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2024) ANDI ISMAItem PERCEPTION OF THE TANA TORAJA PEOPLE AND LOCAL TOURIST TOWARDS THE RAMBU SOLO CEREMONY AT RANTEPAO, PANTA’KAN LOLO VILLAGE(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2024) HADRIATYItem PERANAN MEDIA SOSIAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMULIHARAAN HIDUPAN LAUT(UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU, 2024-08) NAJIHAH BINTI ABDULLAHItem HUMANITARIAN ISSUES OF ETHNIC MUSLIM UYGHUR AND THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL NGOs IN DEALING WITH OPPRESSION(UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU, 2024-09) SITI MULIANI BINTI ABDUL GHANIItem INVESTIGATING ACADEMIC VOCABULARY IN UNDERGRADUATE COURSEBOOKS OF THE NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA: A CORPUS-BASED APPROACH(UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU, 2024-08) HAMISU HAMISU HARUNAItem GENRE ANALYSIS OF BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY AND PROBLEM STATEMENT OF SOCIAL SCIENCE PHD THESES WRITTEN BY ARAB POSTGRADUATES(UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU, 2024-05) MONTHER MOHAMMAD YOUSEF AL JARRAHItem THE APPROACH OF UMAR BIN ABDUL AZIZ TOWARDS TRIBALISM FOR ACHIEVING SOCIAL SECURITY IN JORDAN(UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU, 2023-08) ISSA ALI HUSSEIN AL-AMAREHItem THE APPLICATION OF THE MAQĀṢID AL-SHARĪʿA IN THE MODULES OF DA’WAH AND THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE APPROACHES OF DA’WAH ON MUALAF AMONG EAST COAST DA’WAH INSTITUTIONS(UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU, 2024-11) NAZIHAH RUSLIItem DEVELOPMENT OF QALQALAH PRONUNCIATION STANDARDS IN AL-QURAN USING SPECTROGRAM APPLICATION(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2024) MOHD FAIZ BIN MOHD YASINItem THE INFLUENCE OF PEER ASSESSMENT, METACOGNITION AND CRITICAL THINKING ON THE WRITING PERFORMANCE OF ARAB EFL TERTIARY EDUCATION STUDENTS(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2023-10) ABDALLAH MOHAMMMAD SALEM ALMAHASNEHItem SPEED READING AND ITS CONTRIBUTIONS TO INCREASED READING COMPREHENSION OF NARRATIVE AND EXPOSITORY TEXTS AMONG SAUDI EFL UNDERGRADUATES(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2023) SALAHUD DIN ABDUL RABThe present study aims to focus on the phenomenon of speed reading from the perspective of EFL learners, who are different from L1 learners for their exceptionally slow reading speed and poor comprehension. As the EFL learners need to study extensive narrative and expository texts, their slow reading speed denies them achieve the core objective of comprehending advanced texts. The current study is quasi- experimental in design where the participants are not randomly assigned to control and experimental groups, as it was necessary to keep into consideration their level of proficiency. The population of the study are Saudi male EFL learners whose reading speed is exceptionally slow. A total of 120 participants were selected from the final year of the EFL undergraduate programme at King Khalid University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, based on the non-probability, convenience sampling. The study used ‘7 Speed Reading EX, and Spreeder FX software programmes as tools for increasing the speed of reading and comprehension. For data collection, all participants were initially pre-tested on the dependent variables (reading speed and comprehension), and during the administration of the four-week training program, they were post-tested for the same variables after the completion of each of the five phases of the training programme. For increasing the speed of reading, a unified model of ‘EFL Speed Reading and Comprehension’ was developed performing the quantitative content analysis of 24 speed reading books. The study is based on the theories of reading, schema theory, interactive model, rauding theory and speed-reading theory. The findings of the study showed many significant results. It strengthened the ‘theory of EFL speed reading and comprehension’. It established a greater impact of increased reading speed on reading comprehension of more proficient EFL learners as compared to less proficient ones. In the light of the obtained results, the developed model of ‘EFL Speed Reading and Comprehension’ was further modified and subdivided into two distinct versions for less-proficient and more-proficient EFL readers separately. The current study recommends further research in the domain of speed of reading for coping with the challenges posed by the age of information technology. It also recommends further development of the theory of speed reading consolidated in this research.Item KECENDERUNGAN KOMUNIKASI KEPIMPINAN TERHADAP PRESTASI KERJA DALAM KALANGAN BELIA BERPERSATUAN DI TERENGGANU(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2023-11-20) MOHD HAZLAMI BIN JUSOHItem Kajian simbol hukum tajwid dalam surah Al-Fatihah dan Al-Baqarah Manuskrip Al-quran Terengganu (MQT) IAMM 2012.13.6(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2023) Zulkeefli Bin AwangItem AN ANALYSIS OF GRAMMATICAL ERRORS IN HAUSA FILMS SUBTITLED IN ENGLISH: A LINGUISTIC APPROACH(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2023) ALI UMAR MUHAMMADItem THE IDENTIFICATION OF SKATEBOARDING TALENT FROM BIO-FITNESS INDICATORS THROUGH THE FORMULATION OF MACHINE LEARNING(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2022-10) AINA MUNIRAH BINTI AB RASIDItem SOME CLASSES ON GENERALIZED SĂLĂGEAN DIFFERENTIAL OPERATORS(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2022) ABDELJABBAR TALAL ABDELJABBAR YOUSEFItem IMPROVING READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS OF ENGLISH TEXTS AMONG JORDANIAN SECONDARY STAGE EFL LEARNERS USING A SITUATION MODEL(Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2023) Khalid Fayyad, Bany-Hamad
