Item Comparison on electrochemical performances of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 cathode materials synthesized using different precursors(Materials Today: Proceedings, 2015) Nabilah Mokhtar; Nurul Hayati IdrisIn this work, LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 has been synthesized by using acetate and carbonate precursors, respectively and ball-milled with citric acid, followed by heat treatment at high temperature. The structure, morphology and electrochemical performances of all samples were investigated using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, and galvanostatic testing. The high crystallinity and small particle size are affected by the homogeneity of the samples with the presence of citric acid. It was shown that the electrochemical performances of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 prepared from acetate precursor exhibit the highest discharge capacity of 120 mAh g-1 at 1 C rate.Item Disordered LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 synthesized via molten salt and ball-milling approaches for high voltage cathode in lithium-ion batteries : materials characteristics and electrochemical properties(Terengganu: Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, 2017) Nabilah MokhtarLiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) has been successfully synthesized via molten salt and ball-milling methods using three different types of precursors, which is acetate, carbonate, and chloride. The powders obtained from both methods were annealed at the temperatures of 750, 850 and 950 °C; respectively for 12 hours.
