This research will attempt to assess the current fire fighting system used onboard commercial fishing vessel in Malaysia. The objective of this study is to identify the current fire fighting system for commercial fishing vessel. The factors that have taken into account to evaluate the current system are fire fighting system's availability, accessibility, condition, size, and its placement. Secondly, regarding the accessibility, the readiness, and the placement of the fire fighting system. The survey questionnaires were developed and distributed to the fishing vessel owner in Kuala Terengganu Southern District. Besides that, site survey was held to access the current condition of FFS.
