Abstract: | Fishermen's jetties are an important infrastructure for the fishermen. This is because, the jetty is a place where they unload their catches and sell to wholesalers or directly to buyers. Therefore, the management at the jetty need smoothly so that there is congestion of the vessels at the jetty. In addition, the level of safety should also be considered and enhanced to non-occurrence of a serious accident. Awareness about the importance of safety at the jetty is still less concerned by the fishermen, associations and government. Therefore, safety equipment and safety knowledge is still not taken seriously by every individual. In addition, to ensure the unloading operation in smooth running, the government and society need to figure out a way to simplify and save time for the fishermen. The objectives of this study related to the problems of management in berthing process of fishing vessels to avoid the jetty being crowded, identify the safety used at jetty and the saving appliances should have in jetty, and identify the effective method to transshipment of fishes and the others fishing equipment. Thus, the descriptive analysis of questionnaires to obtain more precise results while achieving the objectives of this study. |
