dc.description.abstractA study was conducted to determine the welfare obtained by the sailors who worked with the shipping company in Malaysia. A greater emphasis in this study is on income sailors themselves. This study focuses more on the income earned by the sailors, especially sailors who work with offshore companies. In this study, two questionnaires were distributed survey. Set is for sailors and for the company. After the study was conducted, found whole sailors did not know the rights and advantages that they should get out of work, particularly sailors to a Malaysian shipping company. However, there is also in Malaysia are still among the sailors do not care about the rights of workers and their strengths as Malaysia. For a Malaysian shipping company, they have been providing various facilities to the foreign seamen are much longer for sailors in the country. There is no difference between the gross salaries of local sailor outside. However, wages earned by seamen is somewhat less than foreign going sailors. With the data obtained, it can be concluded that the Malaysian shipping company has to give and provide various facilities for the convenience and comfort of seamen who work with those companies. Only here, seamen themselves who do not care about their welfare and benefits while them working with Malaysian Offshore Shipping Company.en_US
