dc.description.abstractToe side effect of radiation or gamma rays on materials including the biological system as the body's tissues has been subject to intense investigation to find out the nature and extent of the damage that takes place. Gamma rays can give permanent effect to human tissues at 4 Gy. This study is mainly concerned on the absorption of gamma rays by artificial tissues. An artificial tissues was used in this study produces by the powder of limestone that have the difference masses: 30 g, 60 g, 90 g, 120 g and 150 g. This research was conducted to investigate the percentage of material in limestone. In this study, the source of gamma rays produces by Co-60. Toe volumes of water were used is constant, that is 100ml. Toe results from this study are represent in graph and also bar chart. From the research result, absorption of gamma rays for each material is difference with others and also depends on the quantum particles through the materials.en_US
