dc.description.abstract | This paperbeginswithareviewonthecurrenttechniquesusedforthetreatmentandrecoveryofwaste oil, whichisthenfollowedbyanextensivereviewoftherecentachievementsinthesustainable development andutilizationofpyrolysistechniquesinenergyrecoveryfromwasteoils.Theadvantages and limitationsshownbytheuseofpyrolysistechniqueandothercurrenttechniqueswerediscussed along withthefutureresearchthatcanbeperformedonthepyrolysisofwasteoil.Itwasrevealedthat the currenttechniques(transesterification, hydrotreating,gasification, solventextraction,andmembrane technology) areyettobesustainableorcompletelyfeasibleforwasteoiltreatmentandrecovery.Itwas established thatpyrolysistechniquesofferanumberofadvantagesoverotherexistingtechniquesin recoveringboththeenergeticandchemicalvalueofwasteoilbygeneratingpotentiallyusefulpyrolysis products suitableforfuturereuse. | en_US |
