Abstract: The Red Palm Weevil (RPW), Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (Olivier) is the most important pest of various palm species including coconut, date and oil palm in the world. Rhynchophorus ferrugineus is a lethal pest of coconut in Terengganu and sago palm in Sarawak, Malaysia.
