Recently, coral reef ecosystems have been degraded due to natural impacts and anthropogenic disturbances resulting in a decline of coral reef communities worldwide. The decline in coral reefs affected ecological balance between marine ecosystems as well as economical aspect especially for tourism. This threat occurs due mainly to the unplanned development activities, pollution and overfishing. To alleviate the problems faced, monitoring of coral reefs was made by recording underwater video of coral reef ecosystem. Dataset of videos and images obtained will later be analyzed in the laboratory using the Coral Point Count with Excel (CPCe) software to study the health status of the coral reefs in the surveyed area. The CPCe software has been widely used to analyze the image of coral reef where some points are manually selected and markeden_US
