dc.description.abstractA total of forty fish samples (Nibea so/dado) were obtained from the market at the Kuala Terengganu Coast during pre-monsoon season (August -October, 2008) and monsoon season (November - January, 2009) with twenty fish sample per season. The fish samples were examined with the reference to the prevalence and mean intensity of the parasites found. A total of 4 species of parasites were discovered throughout the study: One species from class cestoda; two species from nematode (Spirocamallanus spp. and Contracaecum sp ), one species from acanthocephala and another one is digenea. From the stations being sampled, infection level for nematode (Spirocamallanus spp. and Contracaecum sp) during monsoon season were the highest compared to pre-monsoon season.en_US
