Blood cockles, Anadara granosa known as a popular shellfish that uptake as undercooked or raw shellfish by the Malaysians and tourists. In Malaysia, only West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia that is able to produce the blood cockles. Bad seasonal environment hampered the blood cockle production at the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Samples of blood cockles purchased in Terengganu but originated from West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia were taken for bacterial isolation and identification. In this study only sucrose fermenting colonies on TCBS agar were selected. Out of this, 12 isolates been identified as Vibrio spp. They were Gramnegative, motile, sensitive to 0/129 vibriostatic agent, oxidase positive and do not produce hydrogen sulphide.en_US
