dc.description.abstractTraffic congestion continues to occur everyday as this is the outcome of the development of the city, Georgetown, Penang. Apart from that, there are many aspects that contribute to this problem. This has lead to many impacts especially towards the working population in the city. This research is to measure the effects of the traffic congestion towards the working population in the city. Besides that, this study will also identify the behavior and the strategy taken by the group of respondents and their point of view will be analyzed for this research. Analysis will base on primary data gained from the questionnaire that has been answered by 100 respondents. The methods for this analysis are the descriptive analysis, mean value and ANOVA analysis. Results of this analysis shows that the group of respondents had experienced negative impacts caused by traffic congestion and has taken several of steps to avoid being stuck in the congestion. They also stated that upgrading the public transport could help to reduce traffic congestion as the public would use the service rather than use their own vehicle.en_US
