| Abstract: | In this paper, accident data collected from the Department of Fisheries Malaysia and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency are presented and analysis is carried out to determine the most common causes of accidents on fishing vessels in Peninsular Malaysia. Discussion on fishing vessel safety assessment and data problems are given. |
